Desaiganj, June 4: ABO Eye Institute successfully organized a free eye and cataract screening camp at Duteja Hospital near Lions Club Road in Desaiganj. The eye care camp witnessed a strong response from the community, with 125 patients undergoing comprehensive eye examinations and cataract screening.

This was the second free eye screening camp conducted by ABO Eye Institute in Desaiganj. The institute had previously organized a similar camp on April 19, 2026, where 130 patients received eye check-ups, highlighting the growing need for accessible and affordable eye care services in the region.

Approximately 165 patients had registered for the latest camp. However, due to time constraints and the detailed nature of the examinations, eye specialists were able to thoroughly examine 125 patients. According to Dr. Indrajeetsingh Duteja, Director of Duteja Hospital, a third free eye camp is expected to be organized soon to accommodate the remaining patients and meet the increasing demand for eye health services.

The camp was conducted by the expert medical team of ABO Eye Institute, providing comprehensive vision testing, eye disease screening, and cataract assessments. Several patients diagnosed with cataracts and requiring surgical intervention have been identified for free cataract surgery.

These surgeries and related treatments will be provided free of cost with the support of Corinth Lodge No. 1122 E.C., Nagpur, ensuring that underprivileged patients receive quality eye care without financial burden.

The organizers expressed their gratitude to the doctors, staff members, and volunteers of Duteja Hospital and ABO Eye Institute for their dedicated efforts in making the eye screening camp a success.

Special Initiative for Needy Patients

Dr. Indrajeetsingh Duteja appealed to patients suffering from serious eye diseases, vision problems, or cataracts to contact the organizers even outside the scheduled camps. Eligible underprivileged patients will be referred for specialized treatment, and wherever possible, free surgery and transportation assistance will be arranged to ensure timely access to quality eye care services.
